Day Six. Bath.

The trip to Bristol was a short one, but took a while to get from where the bus dropped me off and the train station to get to Bath. I must have zigzagged my way across the city because people kept pointing me in different and opposite directions. Maybe there's two train stations in Bristol.
I got there and the 15 minute trip to Bath cost 7 pounds! Public transport in the UK is so damn expensive!
I got into Bath at about midday and was staying at a friends house while she's out of town. I met one of her friends there, who I went to school with a few years above, and picked the keys up off her. I then jumped on bus 14 and made my way to the house. Until I realised, all I knew about the house was the address and 'get off before the t-junction'. That's like putting someone with backpacking gear on a bus I'm Glenmore park, giving them the street name and telling them, get off before the t-junction. I completely forgot to look up where I was actually going...
We came to several T-junctions, but then a pretty major one and I decided to jump off there. The greatest thing about travelling is nothing fazes me now. And the greatest thing about travelling the UK is that everyone speaks English, so everything is always fine. I walked back along the street and saw an old man out the front of his house unpacking his shopping. I asked him for a street major where the street was. He said 'I've been living here for 25 years and I've never heard of that street'... 'Unless its in the new development section'. Yes! I said enthusiastically, it must be. He didn't have a street map, and his phone wifi wasn't working, but he gave me directions to the new sector. I walked there and then thought 'How big can this place be? I'll just have a bit of a wander until I find it'. 5 minutes later I found the street and was inside. Done.
I then headed back into the main town, and visited the Roman baths. There's evidence to suggest that they were already completed in 76AD. They were beautiful inside! The entire city was beautiful! Flat fronted houses and rows of them. If people here dressed like they were from the 1920's, I would think I've gone back in time. The main town was lovely. Literally flowers and tiny pubs and colourful flags everywhere. I tried some of the best fudge I've ever eaten!
The baths were bigger than I thought. They were huge. The site was also a temple, so it's pretty big.
I then wandered around a bit and grabbed some groceries. Went home and cooked. Then walked back into town to get some wifi, and back to bed.
