In the afternoon, we opted to do the optional excursion of Medieval Prague. We visited Prague castle, with its cathedral. It was founded around 880, and was not only the seat of the head of state, the princes and later kings, but also the Prague bishop. The basilica of St. Vitus, in the castle walls, was built during the 10th century.

That night, most of the others went to an optional Czech dinner. Kendra, mum and I weren't going, so we organised a few others and went to the local what we thought was a pub, but once inside was more of a restaurant. The food was cheap, and some of the best I've ever eaten!
Afterwards, everyone else headed home and we went pub looking. Marks and Spencer was still open so we asked them where one was. Only the security guard spoke minimal English, so he translated broadly for the woman who thought we were asking if marks and Spencer's had a bar. HAHA. we finally sorted it out and were shown to a nice local, bar.
