Thoughts confirmed.

I officially started uni today. Without a timetable.
I started this morning with my tram breaking down and everyone having to get off. Instead of it taking 20 minutes to get to uni, it took me 50.
When I got there, I was supposed to be meeting Luce so we could go to the office and work out our timetables. We went to the international office, as you logically would, and they don't open until 1:30pm, and you illogically would. Nearly all office as we discovered today, don't open until 1:30pm. To kill 4 hours of time, we travelled walked around the campus to discover the sports fields and then trekked back along the uni tram line and got off at some random stops to look at different towns. We went to a supermarkets and then at another stop, one of the best boulangeries I've come across yet. I had the best chicken and mushroom quiche!
Eventually, it was time for the office to open. But, just as we were about to go up, Andrew showed up and informed us that it is not the international office that we needed to see, but this small computer room where two people were trying to enrol about 100 people (thank goodness for Andrews new housemate who told us this). We must have waited for at least 2 hours to see someone. We had to compromise on some of the subjects that we wanted to do, as some will only take a certain number of international students and those were full. We got into the most important ones though. But my thoughts (and what others have been telling me) have officially been confirmed that french administration is terrible! So inefficient and horribly ineffective.
The 3 of us are doing the same subjects this semester, just until we get the hang of things. Next semester, we'll branch out and do our own things. But the timetable is pretty good!
Mondays and Fridays, I'm off!
Tuesdays:
Langue et Stylistiques Francaises 2 (subject from a modern literature course): 10:30-12pm
Translation: 2:30-3:30pm
Wednesdays:
Translation: 1:30-2:30pm
Thursdays:
Public law: 8:30-10:30am
Langue et Stylistiques Francaises 2: 2-3:30pm

Not bad at all.
But making it home was baaaaadddd. I have never felt so much wind in my life. The weather was crazy today. Raining one minute and blue skies the next, all day.
I'm just glad I had leftover pasta to eat instead of cooking!
