This morning, when I woke, it wasn't raining. Nor did it look like raining! There was actually blue sky coming through my window! I took the opportunity, as there aren't many, and went for a run along the quays. It was only 2 degrees, but the sun felt lovely. But when I got out of the shower back home (hot showers after cold runs are the absolute best!), the blue sky was gone :( and in its place were grey rain clouds ready to rain on my parade.
I skyped with part of my fam + Luke this morning (as we do most mornings), and Léa gave Laura a little french lesson. We skyped for almost an hour and a half, in which I discovered that my skylight opens more than I thought, and if I stand on my chair, I have a pretty good view!

I went for a bit of a walk after, just around the streets, before remembering why nothing was open. But I like walking around here, I like the fresh air and it makes me feel better when I eat chocolates later on. It started to rain while I was out, but lucky I had my new travel umbrella with me!
I didn't really do anything in the afternoon. Just kind of sat around in my room, tried to work out the uni website, watched some glee, knitted, listened to music, and stood on my chair looking out of my skylight. I cooked the pasta I bought at the markets yesterday for dinner. I don't think I cooked it very well... but it was still the best pasta I've ever eaten! It tasted so fresh. And I've got leftovers, so I won't have to cook tomorrow night (although this happens most nights). WIN! While eating, Léa's friend (I don't know how to spell her name - she's from China) was over and we chatted in french about the protest that was going on yesterday (she doesn't speak any english).
After dinner, I've actually just been standing on my chair haha just looking at the church lights down the road. I was supposed to go to church today, but I forgot that the service is on at 10:30am, not 7pm! I remembered when I was showering. I've put it in my ical to remind me next week!
