This, in hindsight, was a good thing. We'd planned to have burgers at Jason's house last night, and as I'm the only one who could go who's on holidays, I was designated shopper. Leaving the pool early meant I made it to the capucins markets (the local fresh produce markets), so I bought all fresh stuff and bought the mince from a butcher there.
It was so hot walking home, so I grabbed a bag, a towel, some sun screen, my bible, and my Daniel study guide and walked to the park on the quays. I spent a good hour and a bit lying there going through Daniel 4. Not wanting to get burnt, but not wanting to go home, I grabbed all of my stuff, and just went walking through Bordeaux. I felt so beachy in a tshirt and shorts carrying a towel. And then, I FOUND A FABRIC STORE. Yep, an actual spotlightesque-without-the-party-and-furnishings-and-wool fabric store. So really, it was just a normal store that sells fabric. I spent a good 40 minutes in there haha. I found some fabric I loved, but I knew the print wouldn't suit me so I excercised some restraint and didn't buy it. Usually, in Australia, I would just buy it anyway and hope that one day, I'd use it anyway. But, I knew that if I didn't use it, I probably wouldn't be able to get it home lol. But I did find some lovely fabric that I think I'm going to make a dress from when I return from Turkey. I'll just have to sew it by hand. I have a pattern in mind, but need to get my hands on block measurements!
That afternoon, I headed to Jason's to prep for dinner and eat burgers with Sarah, Nat and their housemate. I documented the entire process toooo in-depth.

Today was another warm day, and according to the weather forecast, the kind of last one for a little bit. That's fine with me though, I won't be here for a week. I'm leaving for Turkey tomorrow and just finished entirely packing! I went for a run in the morning and then met Jason and some of his uni friends at the park for some volleyball and thai beef salad (absolute yum). I've spent most of the afternoon packing, knitting, and standing on my chair looking out of my skylight haha.
