I went to the public pool which was simple enough getting too - the bus leaves from practically my front door step. Once I got there, it was a little bit harder getting in. I paid and went through some sort of entrance, which I'm pretty sure is more for when the change rooms are full, almost like the spare change rooms. No one was in there and I started to get a bit creeped out, so I walked back out to the front and just followed a young family, thinking surely they'd be going to the pool. Eventually, I was in a change room, got changed and followed them to the pool (what a creep haha). Once I'd done it once, getting back out was easy. There weren't that many people there. Saying that though, there were at least 5 people in each lane and then extras in the 25m pool.
I just opted for the lane with the least people and swam a km. I wasn't sure how strong my arms would be after not having swum laps for some time, so I went 50m breast stroke, 50m free. I felt pretty good after it, and then went and hopped into the 25m pool for some running. Haha it was one of the greatest, yet most boring things! I think I'm going to have to buy some sort of waterproof mp3 just to keep me entertained. On the way home, the bus was cancelled, so I ended up having to walk to the main shopping centre (with wet hair and smelling like an aquatic centre) and take that to the main part of town and walk home from there. My hair was everywhere, but I had preplanned and packed a beanie, just incase it was cold when I left.
My ankle actually felt great when I got out of the pool. No pain whatsoever, even when I pressed firmly on it. The swelling has also considerably gone down. I'm going to keep going to the pool - I just need to pick one - uni or public. The uni one is free, but smaller and further away/harder to get to. The public one is less crowded and just better in general, but 3 euros to get in. Either way, I was planning on another pool sesh on Monday but the public one is closed, so it will have to be the uni one! I'll get to test them both out before making an informed decision haha.
It looks like no one was there - but there was!
