Quickest pool session ever.

As a result of my ankle swelling and mum telling me to NOT run on it (so hard haha), I decided to look up other forms of exercise to keep up cardio. I'm pretty devo I can't run at the moment, but I need my ankle to be fit and strong for Turkey turkey! The main other forms of exercise are swimming and cycling. It's like injuries tell you to become a triathlete.
I decided to go for swimming and in my researching path, I found 'pool running'. It's basically where you run in a pool without your feet touching the ground! How cool is that?? haha it looks kind of hard though, but every review I've read of it has been from runners who've had injuries and say they've run their best times after pool running. For now, I just need to get in a pool, so we'll see how that goes.
I decided to go bright and early this morning just to check out the uni pool which is about 20 mins by bus/tram away. It's free since I'm a uni student and I opted to pay for sport at the beginning of the year. I thought Saturday would be a quiet day since which uni students get up early to go to the pool? True, but there were swarms of little kids there. And there was another problem, before I'd even gone into the change rooms, there was sign saying 'bonnet de bain est obligatoire' - swimming cap is compulsory :( I didn't bring one. So I didn't actually get INTO the pool, but it was still worth it going to see what it was like, how far it was from the station, if it was busy, how to actually get in. It was worth thousands in experiential gain.
On my way home, I stopped in at the decathlon store to buy a cap.
The pool is closed tomorrow, but I'm going to check it out again with my swimming cap on Monday. Hopefully I can actually remember how to swim!
